Raleigh Chiropractor : Dr. Alisha Davis

Growing up in a chiropractic family, I was always adjusted by my father and experienced the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and regular Chiropractic care.

While I was in high school, I would spend summers working in his office and got to see firsthand how his patients benefited from chiropractic care. Upon receiving my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I went to Life University in Marietta, Georgia where I received my doctorate degree in chiropractic. After graduating from chiropractic school in 1998, I joined my sister Dr. Stacy Gray at Gray Family Chiropractic.

Diplomate in Pediatrics and Pregnancy Care

In 2008, I was awarded my Diplomate in Pediatrics and Pregnancy Care by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. Currently there are only 4 chiropractors in the state who have been awarded the Diplomate status. The program included 360 hours of continuing education in the care of children, pregnant women, and children with special needs. In addition, I am certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Working with Pregnant Moms and children with special needs is my passion.

Dr. Davis enjoys taking care of patients of all ages but her passion is to work with Pregnant Moms, children, and children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Our practice works closely with many health care professionals such as OB/GYNs, Midwives, Physicians, Pediatricians, Doulas, Lactation Consultants, and PTs/OTs. Her desire to work with kids with neurodevelopmental disorders led her to create Building Bridges.

Building Bridges

Building Bridges is a unique comprehensive program to work with children with Neurodevelopmental disorders like ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Dr. Davis combines specific chiropractic care, neurointegrative exercises, and nutritional modifications to improve the function of your child’s nervous system. Many childhood disorders may be the result of nervous system imbalance and have shown improvements through our Building Bridges Program.

Having a specialty in Pregnancy and Pediatrics, I feel it is important for all babies to be checked by a chiropractor shortly after the birth process. I know that taking care of a child’s spine and nervous system so that they are functioning at their best, not only contributes to the overall growth and development of the child, but will also produce a much healthier adult. I take care of all ages in my practice and even see families of three generations. Young or old, everyone can benefit from better health through natural chiropractic care!

Professional Organizations

My professional organizations include the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, North Carolina Chiropractic Association, International Cesarean Association, Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, and the International Council on Pediatrics. I am also the Treasurer of our North Carolina Pediatric Council and Chairwoman for Medicaid for our NC State Chiropractic Organization.

Outside the office

Outside of our Raleigh chiropractic office I enjoy the beach, traveling, hiking and most importantly spending time with my family.
