Introducing Raleigh Chiropractor Dr. Alisha Davis
My first memories of chiropractic date all the way back to when I was a young child. My father was in chiropractic school when I was only a toddler. I remember eating lunch with my Dad in the school’s cafeteria. I remember him graduating from Chiropractic school when I was only five. I remember playing at my Dad’s first office and saw patients come and go through the years at his practice. I remember getting adjusted as a young child all the way up through my young adult life as well. Growing up in a chiropractic family, I was always adjusted by my father and experienced the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. While I was in high school, I would spend summers working in his office. I saw first hand how his patients benefited from chiropractic care.

With all of that being said we as children have dreams about what we want to be when we grew up and I grew up wanting to be a pediatrician. I always wanted to work with children in the healthcare field. While my sister was in chiropractic school, I was studying pre-Med at Carolina. She invited me down for the weekend to attend a seminar on Chiropractic and Kids. After learning so much that weekend about the benefits of chiropractic for kids and hearing amazing stories about children getting adjusted, I decided that I wanted to also attend chiropractic school. Needless to say our father was thrilled that both of his daughters were following in his footsteps. Upon receiving my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I went to Life University in Marietta, Georgia where I received my doctorate degree in chiropractic. I graduated summa cum laude from Life University.
After graduating from chiropractic school in 1998, I joined my sister Dr. Stacy Gray at Gray Family Chiropractic. We like to say at our office that “our family is taking care of yours”. In 2007, I became board certified in pediatrics and pregnancy through the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. The board certification included 180 hours in post graduate education. In addition, I am certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
I enjoy speaking with young parents about the benefits of natural chiropractic care. My passion is to work with Pregnant Moms and children with special needs. I am actively involved with the Triangle Birth Network, Junior League of Raleigh, and an active member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church. Other professional organizations include the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, North Carolina Chiropractic Association, International Cesarean Association, Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, and the International Council on Pediatrics.
Having a specialty in Pregnancy and Pediatrics, I feel it is important for all babies to be checked by a chiropractor shortly after the birth process. I know that taking care of a child’s spine and nervous system so that they are functioning at their best, not only contributes to the overall growth and development of the child, but will also produce a much healthier adult. I take care of all ages in my practice and even see families of three generations. Young or old, everyone can benefit from better health through natural chiropractic care!
